Easy And Delicious Cherry Clafoutis Recipe

Cherry Clafoutis recipe

Our easy and delicious cherry clafoutis is the perfect summer dessert. It is light, creamy, and fruity โ€“ just simply scrumptious.

Unlike most recipes, my version of this French dessert uses canned cherries instead of fresh cherries.

Because I am using canned cherries, which are much cheaper than fresh ones, my family and I can enjoy this cherry clafoutis dessert any time of the year.

I do like the custard-like batter because it is not too sweet but still so creamy.

For a fruity dessert, my cherry clafoutis recipe feels quite indulgent.

In fact, fruity desserts, whether my German Apple Cake with Streusel Topping, my Homemade German Apple Cake Recipe (More Apples Than Dough), or this Cherry Clafoutis are my go-to desserts to impress family and friends.

You can serve this simple classic French treat with whipped cream, and ice cream or just on its own. I like it best served warm but you can also serve it cold. It is really up to you.

If you donโ€™t have any canned cherries on hand, you can substitute other fruits such as pears, blueberries, or apples, just to name a few.

Most recipes use powdered sugar before serving the cherry clafoutis. But I urge you to try my sugar/cinnamon topping which I sprinkle on top for the last 15 minutes of baking time.

I really enjoy the caramelized flavor, it complements the cherry custard perfectly. Delicious!
