The best and tastiest pulled pork you will ever eat. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It can't get easier than cooking it in your slow cooker. Just set and 5 hours later, dinner is ready!
Put all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
1/2 cup tomato sauce/ketchup, 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, 1/2 to 1 tsp chili flakes, 1 tbsp whole grain mustard, 1 tbsp worcester sauce, 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp dried thyme, 2 tsp salt, freshly ground black pepper to your liking
Peel the onions and garlic and chop them roughly with a sharp knife.
2 large brown onions, 2 cloves garlic
Add the chopped onions and garlic to the sauce and mix until well combined.
Cooking The Pork
Place the pork into the slow cooker and set the cooker on high (alternatively, you can use the low setting - then it will take around 8 hours to cook)
3 pound pork shoulder
Pour the sauce over the pork.
Put the lid on and let the meat cook for around 2.5 hours. Check the meat and move it around in the sauce for a bit.
Put the lid back on and let it cook for a further 2.5 hours.
Once the pork is cooked, remove the bones.
With two forks, shred the pork, mix the meat with the sauce, and serve immediately. Otherwise, switch the setting to low and leave the meat in the slow cooker until you are ready to serve it.
